BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY
Roggeveen trained as a public prosecutor in Middelburg, Holland, and studied aggregation at University of Harderwijk. Between 1707 and 1714, he was a Assembly Lord of Justice at Batavia, wear the Dutch East Indies (now Djakarta).
